I saw one on display at the Honda dealer here in Houston . they didn't have it hooked up so I couldn't listen to it. just check with your dealer and see if they have them. I just use my mp3 player with a good pair of ear phones.

mp3

I just bought a San Disk mp3 player with 2GB memory storage. I am loading several CD's on it now. It also has FM radio. It comes with all of the accesories that I need, including computer connection and ear pieces. I plan to use it rather than an expensive audio system. Plays for 20 hours on a charge of the lithium batteries. Nice display on the thing and it will fit easily into my jacket of shirt pocket. Even has a neck lanyard with it. I got the thing today at Best Buy, on sale for 69 dollars plus tax. They had a 1GB player also for even less. I have listened to it and it sounds great.

You might want to check your local laws on wearing things in your ears. It can cause you to not hear emergency vehicles and that's why they don't allow them where I live. Good idea though, as I checked with the local law down the road from me before trying that same thing. I've seen the speaker kits for around $400 on some of the vendors sights and thru Honda direct.

The 2wheeltunes are only 2 inch speakers and are almost impossible to hear at cruisin' speeds.

J&M has a set with 4 1/2' speakers and sounds OK.

Both of these systems require you to plug in your own music (CD, MP3, etc.) and have a bult in amp. They work best with windshields as without the wind noise will drown out the music.

I am working on a set but it wont be out until next summer.

I rode with a group of "Red Knights" and this one rider had the 2 Wheel Tunes on her V-Rod. Even at 55mph, they sounded great. I rode one back from her. Over her pipes, damn Harleys, I could hear her tunes. When I can afford it, I'll get a set of 2 wheel tunes form my much quieter, 1300R.

I have these on my VTX and they sound great, are waterproof, and far less expensive than the set up from Honda or 2 Wheel Tunes. I have run with these on the bike for two years, the amp fits under the seat, the speakers are mounted to the windshield with a couple of aluminum plates a friend cut for me, the wires are well hidden under the tank. Going down the road I turn my Ipod up about half way and it sounds great!

I was looking at a pair from this company called Rumble Road " Premium" on Ebay the amplifier is located in the speakers and they are waterproof. The dealer also carries the J&M Amplified speakers but they run over $500.00! That is the next upgrade for me. I spend most of my time riding to friends to ride so I guess I am going to treat myself. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHRO...62QQcategoryZ35571QQihZ024QQitemZ370079019349

I just use my i-pod and a pair of ear buds, works great! I guess if you didn't pay attention you might not notice the big white box with flashing lights coming up behind you! But that's my opinion. LOL!

I bought these about 6 months ago after I dumped the crappy Honda digital system! I have 3"HK big straights with VTX Resonators I can hear it un in the 90 mph range! The amp fits under the seat, It's a little tight but works well! Don't waste your money on the Honda overpriced and under watts! It was a additional 500.00 for my bike over about 30 you can't hear it and I have a shield!:patriot:

Thought I would weigh in on this because I have tried just about everything. First was just a small radio with earphones or bud phones. Those things are a mess, always falling out, cord flopping in the breeze, they come out when you put your helmet on and again when you take it off, they fall out if you turn your head, and not enough sound anyway! Then I tried the rumble road type speakers, they were the same except built by cycle sounds of Huston for about $50.00 cheaper. Those work great, nice volume and could be heard easily at any speeds with half helmet and shield, problem was but ugly and I just got tired of looking at those bulky things on my bars, and if I had everything hanging on my bars I wanted, it would look like the front window of a radio shack! Next up was Oakly thumps, I thought those would be the answer sold the speakers and bought those, wrong again, nice style and just ok volume up to about 50mph, might be ok on a moped with quite baffles. Then the mp3 player and sure E4's, and I have to say those had good sound and held in my ears pretty well, but on long rides they bothered my ear as in made them some what sore and were just uncomfortable on long rides. So then I went with blue tooth using my cell phone and Motorola S9 stereo headset, again these work pretty good up to about 65 with a shield, but after that, just not enough volume, but they are great for cruising around town. What I have now is a set of HS24 iasus helmet speakers with a full face scorpion EXO400 helmet, playing mp3 Nano. So far it is hands down the winner. I have cruised at 75-80 and the sound is just as clear and easy to hear as it is at 55. I have never been a full face helmet fan, but I wanted to get rid of the front shield for a cleaner look, and I am quickly getting used to the full face helmet and the helmet speakers are (for me) the best thing yet!
