Guys - I have installed Aux Power with a Relay and 3-circuit fuse panel. It works great and I use it to power my GPS, Radio, and Heated Grips. The control signal is tied to the ignition switch via the black/red wire at fuse panel.

However, I would like to play the Radio without having the ignition turned on, obviously because the Headlight is on as well. In other words, I want to activate the Relay without using the ignition switch. Obviously I need to mount an 'Override' switch somewhere, but I'm not sure how to tap in to the power. I was thinking of moving the Relay control signal to the Fan circuit(blue/red wire) and then adding the new switch in parrallel to ignition switch. This way, I could power the Relay, and maybe just the fan if the engine is still hot.

What do you think?

If you have a relay in place it should get the main power from your fuse panel that is connected directly to the battery correct? Just run a wire from the power feed side of the relay to the trigger side of the relay with the switch in the middle.

That's a good idea. However, the 'trigger side of the relay' already taps into a certain wire which powers a bunch of stuff (headlight, taillights, turn signals, etc). Therefore, wiring as you suggest would power all that stuff too. That's why I was thinking to move to the fan circuit.

i agree and that is how I have mine. I have a switch mounted across the secondary of my relay.
