I LIKE THE TREAD DESIGN

BB-How do you like the Avon's? Obviously, I don't need tires quite yet :bleh: , but everything I read about them is positive.

BB, I have the Avon Venoms with 3-4,000 miles so far. NO tire wear, handling is improved, I don't even notice rain grooves on the freeway! They also stick like glue in the rain.
Keep 38-40 in the front, you'll be fine. I usually have 39 lbs.

If you had a back seat she'd be the coolest kid in school...but no...you gotta solo it out.

Looking good BB...it'll look even better in front of the Possum Pusher.

I wish the Avons came in Wide White Walls for my bike...I have only been able to find the Dunlops that make them for the S model size tires
And...it was great talking to you in chat as well.

Well..I spent about 30 - 40 minutes looking at tire sites...I couldn't find any other brand in ww either....sorry.....you could always paint the Avons...lol...I saw a post on vtxoa...where someone had done that...looked good in pics...he said it lasted a long time...touchup with shoe polish...hmmm:hmm2: BB

Unless you want to alter your wheel size Dunnies are the only matching front and rear tire that will fit the 1300 R or S-actually same wheel size. Dunlop went into production again on both tires...I have seen some rears avail online, but front is slow to market since strike...but am told on the production line as of March 19th.

Guys at the dealer recommended that I don't alter the front wheel...will dramatically impact the ride-negatively...

Also have thought about going larger-wider in the rear...but whites aren't avail in the wide profile, and that's the direction I want to head.
