We will be meeting at the lodge at Mt Cheaha on Saturday Nov 7th. For those that have attended in the past we generally try to all be there around noon then have lunch at the restaurant at the lodge. It is buffet style and really good.
For those that have not attended in the past it's really a lot of fun. It's a pretty nice ride no matter what direction you're coming from and it's a great chance to meet people from the forum. Particularly if you have questions or issues with your VTX there is usually someone that can answer them in attendance. So that's pretty much it, find a friend to ride with or meet up with someone here, have some good food, meet some great people and have some fellowship with the members. We've been doing this for over 5 years now and no matter if the turnout is large or small it's always a lot of fun.

I'll be headed out from Scottsboro about 8:30-9am and anyone that wants to head down with me let me know.

Here's a link to the park.

So anyone that's coming for sure and even if you think you might come be sure to post up here. I'll need to get a fairly accurate head count a couple of days in advance. I like to try to notify the restaurant that we'll be coming so they don't get over whelmed if it looks like a big turnout.
I haven't seen a lot of feedback so far from the Cafe but it seems quite active over on the VTXOA. So surely you guys are not gonna let those OA guys outperform you. So this is now the official thread for this event.

Sorry to hear that. As always you're welcome here any time.

Been looking at the 7 day forecast and it looks like the weather is going to be on our side. Temps normal and just a 20% chance of rain. I'll keep an eye on it though.

Since the forecast for Saturday doesn't seem to be improving what is everyone's thoughts about moving to Sunday the 8th? I think it will be cooler but dryer. Either day is fine with me however I know some of you may have church or other plans for Sunday.

Opinions please.

I'd like to keep it on Saturday however I'm afraid a rainy forecast will discourage most if not all from coming. Let's just keep an eye on it.

Since the forecast for Saturday is calling for a 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms I'm moving the day to SUNDAY the 8th.

For all of you that had planned on the Saturday the 7th but can still make the 8th please post up here. I hate to do it since I realize that this will knock some folks from coming but I feel it would better to have a smaller group on Sunday than no group at all on Saturday. I just feel like if it's pouring rain on Saturday morning no one is going to come anyway.
So come on if you can still make it. Same deal just different day.
