OK Boop, Here's a couple of pics. Look ma no wires? I've still got to splice them so they will be long enough to hide. Waiting now on the Big Brown Truck to bring my parts to finish.

In the Big Brown Truck

Betty Boop said:
:icon_clap Hey no fair, I don't know how to do wires, kinda like sewing I guess, need more lessons. Hum, no time for lessons, too busy looking for what to add next, that is after the special GG plate and some kury mini bullets for the front and back. Gotta clean up the rear end you know !! I DO LOVE CHRISTMAS !!! Really, those bars look awesome on the ghost, look like about the same rise as the Punishers, just not back as far. How's the reach on them? Oh yeah, where 'd the mirrors go? I know still working on it, they look great!!
BB
I hope there on the way. I orderd a set of Arlen Ness. I know there not your best people right now, But I wanted a small mirror with a short stem. Not many choices with the type I'm looking for. The reach is about the same as the stock R/S bars. But instead of hands angled back there now almost straight with the bars and a little closer together. I haven't had it on the road yet. Who knows they may be in the trash next week. :D

Mirrors

Betty Boop said:
I hope they don't end up in the trash after all the work you've done, and I like them. Don't know if I'd like my hands closer together, guess you'll get use to it,like I will with mine being higher. Which AN mirrors did you decide on. They have some awesome ones, still looking for mine also, then I'll send ya the stockers. Bars really do look great, I can see some low (narrow) lean curved mirrors on there.! Now I gotta go look again. Have a good night !

I think they are called Raptor II, A very small teardrop shape. I'm sure they will have no veiw at all, But I never look back to I hear glass rattle anyway. GG :choppersm
Thanks

Bars look great GG; mirrors will really top it off well.
Thanks Rich, I always value your opinion. I've got a guy comming to look at the bagger on SAT. If he buys it, I'll need your guidance a little more when the 1800 is in the shop. I'm not very 1800 savy and I know I'll have a ton of questions for you and Big-X.

:icon_nerv Hey GG
So has the big brown truck showed up with your mirrors yet? Ooops I forgot He can't get out of SC, too may deliveries to Boops House. :icon_chuc Ha Ha. No really, have they come yet, can't wait to see them and hear how easily they installed. If they do, I might try ness again, at least this ones a honda, yama mama had that reverse thread on the right, might be why we had so much trouble with them, although we had the right adaptors?/ who knows..Anyway, looking forward to seeing them.

It's comming Wed. But my little lady says I can't have them till Christmas. :(
Frame and Wires

Betty Boop said:
OH No, sorry ! I get mine all put on when Santa delivers my new billet, Mike says he wants to do it all at once. Besides, it would look kinda funny with new lights, the plate and bracket cut off and wires for the plate hangin. Oops, shouldn't of said that, you could make me wait too, hum..Well maybe you'll get a peek at them before they're wrapped !! Hope so.
BB
A Boop, Did you get your lighted frame yet? If so, see if Hubby will let you post a pic of the back of it. I need to see if I need to cut a groove for the wires so they will be out of sight. Im sure that the wires will go between the plate and mount. But if they had a groove to follow and exit on the bottom at the mount you won't have so much of a chance to cut them with the sharpe edge of the plate. GG :D

GG,
Yes, plate came yesterday, I'll post pics this afternoon when I get home. Hubby doesn't care, I think he's in more of hurry to get everything on than I am. Guess thats a good thing!? We're both gonna have to go out to the shed on Christmas to remind ourselves where the presents are!
Thanks
BB
OK Boop, That's Great. I should be able to tell by the pics. Get some close ups of the back where the wire comes out of the light. I should be able to handle the rest. Thanks GG
Thanks

Well, I'd probably compliment you as well, but I can't see the pics. Wherever you have them posted, I'm blocked.

Could you put 1 or 2 in you gallery on this site? I can see those just fine.

Thanks.

And - a BIG THANK YOU to Green Ghost for the mirrors. They are on the bike and knowone has noticed the few scratches on the right one. LOL
If I run across a nicer right one I'll send it your way Hammer. :D

Question, if I install new bars , will I have to purchase new grips also?? I have the kury ISO's installed, and the left grip is glued on. Is there anyway to work it off without destroying it?? Thanks!!
Hey Bart, I've took off several sets of ISOs using WD-40. Just lift the rubber out of it's groove at the upper part of the grip and spray it inside. Wait a few seconds and repete. There will be some twisting og the grip involved. For the RIGHT SIDE you can just leave it on and remove it with the throttle sleve. Then reuse it the same way. GG :D

I was talking about the pics of GG's 1 1/2" bars close to the beginning of this thread.
I'll try to put one in this weekend Hammer. Don't know why you can't see them. I'm not very computer savy. :hmm2:
Yeap

It's not you GG. It's how we're setup here.

My company has set up proxys (internet rules) that block certain sites. Since we are a financial inst., they have blocked many, many sites. I used to be able to post pics on BigBike Riders .com. They added a chat room and the site got blocked. One of the rules is any site with a keyword of 'Chat' gets blocked.
I guess I could set up a PC and login from home, but I deal with PCs all day and really don't want to look at one when I get home. If you know what I mean....
Yeah, It's like me. I drive 3800 miles a week, and when the weekend comes, the first thing my wife wants to do is drive an hour somewhere to eat. Or pull the camper somewhere for a weekend trip. She just don't understand. :harder:
