So my girl has a vtx 1300 her previous other half rode hard and put up wet. It is currently in pieces. I'm not scared. I can handle the puzzle. Maybe with a bit of your expertise!

I haven' laid eyes on it yet but I did get pix. Can you guys tell me which model this is? I'm told maybe a 2007 vtx 1300 ?

I lucked into my 2004 VTX 1800 c about 2 years ago. I can't say I know much about the other models. It is time to learn!

Check Vin tag on left front of frame by radiator.

Looks like they had the plastics off to paint or plastidip. Or maybe they wanted to paint engine with exhaust gone too.

Before you do any work make sure your girl has title. Don't waste your time on it without it.

1300 R or T. The S was the same except for spoke wheels. The T came stock w/ a windshield.

Indy I wish the covers were off for such a good reason. No the bike was taken apart by what I'm guessing was an untrained ape. There were pieces scattered all over. Who am I to look a gift X in the mouth?

I needed something to soak up what little spare time I had.

Would have to be n R model. S model has spoked wheels and the T model is only in 1800. R means Retro, S is Spoke Wheels and T ( in 1800) is Touring, technically all the same. R has mags where S is spoke wheels. T (in 1800) would be an R model with saddlebags and windshield.

I could be wrong. If they did, it would be toward the end of the production life of the VTX... Probably 2009 OR NEWER. The VTX had a fairly short life span for it's design. Some models had a longer life than others and some models were offered in 1800 only... like the F model2005-2008 and the N model from 2004-2008 and only made in 1800cc.

@Vinish is correct, there definitely was a T in the 1300. Was simply an R with accessories (windshield, bags, sissy bar).

Fuman had a 1300T.
1300R plus windshield and bags.

There are a lot of S models that swapped wheels so you can't judge a bike by that alone.

Did Fuman get another bike? Last I heard he had purchased Bad Juan's VTX1300. I have not talked to Fuman in several years so I could easily be way out of the loop.
