My son is driving now, so I don't have to worry about getting the call to pick kids up from school on my way home from work, which means I can make my VTX my daily driver. Being a volunteer fiefighter; this brings up a problem....bunker gear. I have saddle bags, but they aren't quited big enough. Do any of you have this situation, and if so, what do you do???

Do you have a backseat and a sissy bar? If we're just talking about pants, coat, helmet, and mask you just buy a bungee neat and wrap. Also regular bungees. No problem. If you have tools, leave them at work

I don't carry mine with me, they have to stay at the station. But I have a large bag that everything will fit in. You could get some bungees and strap it to your back seat and backrest if you have one.

If you have a sissy bar, you can get a Sissy Bar Bag..

I have the studded one with the round bag on top.. (Large SB2) and there is a TON of room in those bags.

We keep everything with us, so it'll have to be a big bag. Looks like the sissy bar bag will be best.

I have the jafrum SB1 bag and even though it is very large, I am sure my gear will not fit in it. Something to consider, pack it as tight as you can and then measure it to see it will fit.

I am sure my boots and pants will not fit in the one I have, let alone the coat and helmet.

You might have to leave the largest gear at the station and just care whith you what you will fill comforable hauling ( safely ) on the bike . It's GREAT of you to give of your time and $$ being a volunteer fiefighter ! At a MAN !!!!!!!atriot:

This gear won't fit a motorcycle bag. It's just to big, especially if you keep the pants on the boots. Use the net. $6 at walnart

Think I'll just keep my wildland gear with me and my structural gear in my truck. Mostly grass fires and wrecks in the spring anyway.
