Does anybody know the price and where I can get a Honda carb adjustment tool? It shows it in the service manual and it looks like a time saver. Thanks, T.

Yea, it's around $100 as I recall...

You are better off buying a top quality "standard" 90 degree drive carb adjustment tool off the Snap-On truck or something similar (mine was about $40 to $50 as I recall)... I use it on other bikes also.. cut a slot into the head of the A/F screw so a flat blade screwdriver tip can be used (like on virtually every other carb in the world) and you then have a tool for the future that is useful for more types of vehicles.

Or you can get the 90 degree drive and put a socket driver on it and buy the Cyberhick A/F screw which can be adjusted with a socket.

Or you can just buy the Cyberhick A/F screw, use a socket on an extension and turn it with your fingers.

The Honda item it way overpriced and if it only fits a "D" tool it would only be good for one type of bike.

With the slot cut into the A/F screw on MY bike I can adjust it with a screwdriver.. I have made fine tuning adjustments on the road with my Leatherman tool which I always carry on my belt... course I have an Ultraflow airfilter and can "get in there" without removing anything. (another reason for that style of aircleaner besides the high airflow rate) :)

Only one thing to add. With an aftermarket airbox, my screw can be adjusted by hand too. No tools needed.
Yea, maybe with your skinny Hillbilly fingers.. for me I'll take the easy way out and drop a socket onto a 4" extension (and no driver/ratchet) and adjust your aftermarket A/F screw with one hand while kicking back in an easy chair with a cool one in the other hand.. :cheers:

hi,

I solved this problem in this way. I bought the flexible screw driver see link:
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=905&group_ID=126&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

and the D type bit itself see link:
http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/tools/90_degree_1-4_hex_driver/

it works perfectly for me.

I forgot you need small conector because the screw driver and bit have male ends.

So with the connector, where does that put you price wise for everything? Just curious.

Snap on tool = $23.86
D bit = $2.90
1/4" socket (as adapter) = free
shipping = $6.00

Total = $32.76

Now the work to adjust that screw with this is probably going to be twice as hard compared to your aftermarket screw. :( You'll most likely see an order for one of those come through before the end of the year.
