What do people think about the chrome edging around the tank. Stuff's pretty inexpensive. I was thinking about buying some and puting it around my gas tank and fenders. What do you think?

What ever suits your taste. I personally think it cleans up a messy unfinished tank job by Honda!!

It is your bike. If adding the tank trim makes you happy, Do it! That is the nice thing about the VTX. You can do so many things to the bike to make it yours. I like the trim, I did it and it is just one more shiny thing I added to my bike. Some people do not like it as you are reading in this thread. I'll go back to the first sentence..... It is your bike, be happy with it.

I have it as well and I like it. Wish Honda did something different with that tank seam. It is inexpensive, so buy it, put it on and if you don't like it, you're out pocket change compared to other upgrades you'll be doing in the future.

Yes, absolutely. Tank Trim is da Bomb.

Put it around your tank, fenders, windshield, I think it will even fit on the engine fins.

The more, the better. Nothing beats plastic door edge trim to spiff up your ride.

Nice thing about riding... ride YOUR OWN ride! Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you're footing the bill and you have to look at it every day so knock yourself out on whatever it is you wanna do to your scoot!

i think that it cleans up a very nasty looking seam that Honda could have done a much better job. either that or spend lots of money and make the tank seam go away

Again it's what you like for me i dont like the tank seam showing so im getting it shaved off and repainted , also the chrome around tank like said above for 12$ you can buy the chrome edging :choppersm

If ya stop and think about it though, it isn't much different than everything else chrome on these bikes. 90% of the Honda chrome is... plastic.

if your bike is silver it just sort of blends in and hides the nasty edges like on my fairing, fender and tank. other colors like the darker ones it may show up too much for some people.

I had extra so I also trimmed out my jacket, boots, and helmet.

Wherever I go, the ladies just can't help it but stop and stare. I know I could have any one of them.
