Can anyone give me some feedback on the Cobra floorboards for a 1800C? How easy was the installation? Are you satisfied? I'm looking into buying the "classic" model, as opposed to the "swept". I would just like to get some feedback before I drop the money. I currently have Kury Duallies on my C. I still get uncomfortable after a little while, even with the wider peg. Thanks.

Don't know anything about the Cobras, but floorboards rule. I'll never own a bike without them. :mosh:

I have a 1300 with the Cobra Swepts, so that puts my comments in the 0 for 2 comparison column :kidding: But I will say that I am kicking myself for not switching sooner. I really notice the difference on longer rides. You get a little more vibration but that is insignificant compared to the comfort level of my feet. No more arch pain :D Also, they are wide and long enough so that you can vary your leg position to help with knee strain, too.

Cobra Classic Boards ...............

Had to change over my 1800c when I bought it. Original owner replaced stock pegs with Jardine Extended Forward controls. He was 6'5". I am 5' 10". The intergration of the Jardine directions with the Cobra directions made my install alittle more confusing. My only real catch was I could not locate the original shifter rod, so I had to order it. The Jardine one was too long. Total change over time ~2.5 hours including adjusting the shift and brake pedal heights to my liking. The classic boards are long allowing multiple foot positions for those longer rides. As noted earlier you can drag the boards, but you will adjust your riding. Happy and not going to pegs!!

Another vote for the Cobra "Swept" boards. I've had them on my '02 1800 C since '02 and love them!

And yeah..... you DO drag them in tight turns. It'll wake you up in the mornin', boy!

I just put on the Cobra swept boards on my 2003 1800c. I didn't think it was a fun install because the top mounting bolt doesn't line up very well. The board is in the way, so I just pounded on it with a ratchet. I beat up the top rubber of the board a bit but it worked. I guess to do it right you should really take the board off of the mount it comes with. Kind of a PITA.
