I have an '06 1300 C and I was thinking about getting the angled Cobra Lightbar. I will be installing a Memphis Shades Fats 21" shield on the bike so I know I need a headlight extension. My first question is can I use the Cobra headlight extension and be fine with that? Or do I need to get a Glen's? If I do need a Glen's what's the minimum extension I can use 3 or 4? I've read forums saying both.
Secondly I have the C model and the lightbar says it's for the S or R. Does my headlight have the accessory wires in it needed to wire the lightbar in? Or do I need to wire it myself? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Have you considered the Kuryakyn Constellation Light Bar? In my opinion it looks better and you can adjust the lights to sit farther forward or backward to make room for your shield. I can understand if you like the Cobra's look better, just a suggestion...

Ok, any tips on how to do that? So I run a wire from the battery, through a fuse and to a relay then to the lightbar? I have basic electrical knowledge but I really don't want to screw anything up. Or should I tap off a different wire somewhere so the lightbar will work only when the key is on? Thanks for everyone's input.

So I answered some of my own questions by searching a little bit more through the fourms.
This is one where a lot of good questions were answered and should darn near answer any questions one might have when installing a Cobra lightbar: http://www.vtxcafe.com/showthread.php/74248-Wiring-of-Cobra-Lightbar?highlight=relay
This is great to learn about relays and which wires you want to hook to: http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/foglites.html
My lightbar is on the way. When I get it all installed I'll post some pics and any tips I have.
