2006 VTX 1800 . I disassembled the directional switch and got it looking and working great . I put it back together with no lube because I don't know what to use . I was thinking vaseline , unless there is some specific lube for the switch . Thanks for your input .

Use something called dielectric grease. You can buy a small tube at hardware stores or online. It is a silicone based grease that, most importantly, does NOT conduct electricity. It is designed to lubricate the moving metal electricity carrying parts of switches without causing any short circuits in the system. It works great for any motorcycle electrical connections or switches and also helps keep water out of the connection.

It's called di-electric grease, and as mentioned, comes in a little foil 'squeeze-pak' at the auto parts store checkout counters.
