all v twins vibrate to some degree, they do not have the smoothness of an inline motor. That being said, the 1800 motor uses counter balance on its split pin crankshaft and does not vibrate as much as other v twins normally. Is the RPM steady or is one cylinder missing?

What gear are you in and what speed are you going? Also, I have an F, and I am pretty sure the factory tach reads a little high. I say that because I have sewn mine read over 6000 rpm, and from what I understand the rev limited on these bikes kicks in at 5850. Also, remember that this thing has HUGE pistons, and is gonna vibrate a little.

I suspect you are lugging it - to low a gear. Let it sing to 3500-4000 before shifting. The damn thing has so much power we get lazy and shift too soon.
