I was wondering if anyone in the local area wanted to jion me in a VTX or any other cycle ridng group to ride in the local area weekly or bi-monthly. Routes would take us to the coast or as far as Crater Lake. Maybe just a quick breakfast trip to Sisters. Nothing crazy, just enjoying the ride and sharing the road trip with fellow riders. Man, I'd love to ride that area again. It's been 30 years and I'll never forget it. I was in the CG stationed in North Bend. A buddy and I took 2 weeks and did nothing but ride in Oregon, and Washington. Froze my azz off at Crater Lake and boy did it rain.....

I'd do it again in a heartbeat though. You guys Ride Safe out there:choppersm

The picture I use is of me at Crater Lake. A friend of mine ans I rode to Hells Canyon from Eugen and came back via Crater Lake. 1200 miles in 3 days and it was the best ride I can remember. Planning another trip to South Eastern Oregon in about 6 weeks. Maybe a 4 day'er.

I am in Roseburg and most of my 64000 miles have been on Oregon roads.

My Hells Canyon trip last month racked up 1600 in 3 days then went some other places while I was on vacation for a total 10 days of 2400 miles.

Rode to Winnamucca NV last weekend. A friend went with me and rode his 1200 Sportster. 1,000 miles in 2 days. Fantastic ride. I have some pictures in my album.

I am up for it as the schedule allows. I keep checking the Oregon board but not much activity here. I will keep my eye out for rides that I can make. Would be cool to meet some others from this board.

Just got back from a 6 day, 1,500+ mile trip (we stop for pictures a lot ;-) ). Redwoods, Lassen, Carson City, Lava beds, Crater Lake, Bend.

I was also looking at a 4 day, 3 night loop over to Hells Canyon and back but will probably be next summer.

I love my VTX.

I'm in for a ride next Summer to Hell's Canyon again. Early August would work for me. I am sure that 3 or 4 other guys from here would like to go as well.
I would like to go through Eukia and that area. There are some nice rolling twisting roads through there. Maybe shoot on down to the Steens area.
In two weeks a few of us are going to Sisters over the old road just for a day trip on a Saturday for breakfast. Anything going on up North Schultzy?

Your 6 day trip sounds like it was a good one.

Thanks. I have never taken 6 days like that just for me... it was awesome :mosh: You meet some great people out on the road.

I will try to get a pic post up here in the next few days. I will definitely post up and maybe collaborate on the Eastern Oregon ride. If the weather holds maybe I could even meet up for a day trip this year.

Taking a trip the last week in July to the Steens then Nevada over to Idaho and up to the Columbia and then head West. Probably leave Eugene on the 27th.

Planning on getting back to Eugene Saturday evening. I may have to stop in Portland for my Mother-in-law's birthday Saturday.
