Wanted to get some data from you folks to see how we all compare.

What year is your bike? What power/fuel related mods do you run?

What's your: in town/average combined/freeway or best circumstances fuel economy?

I'll go first.

2002 1800c.
K&N air filter.
Stock pipes. Deleted 02 sensor with plug adapter (California model)
Cobra fi2000r analog 3 turret fuel tuner (0,0,0 on the turrets to mimic stock while testing some stuff.
40psi tire pressure front and back

Last check was 25/27/29. I suspect my economy is worse then most due to some botched mods done by previous owner that I'm still dealing with.

What about you all?

2003 1800c
Hypercharger/K&N Air filter
Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered (I think)
Power Commander 3, whatever it was set to when I got the bike.
40psi tire pressure front/rear

I have tracked every fuel-up on the Drivvo app since I got the bike, roughly 18k miles.
Average Miles Per gallon - 33.84mi/Gal

I do not monitor mi/Gal separately for city/highway etc.

2003 C. 27K mi. PC3, never touched the settings from PO. Soldered the connectors though. 38/40 psi, Darkside rear. Mid 30's is avg. Has yours ever had the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) changed? These greatly affect the performance and economy. WAY too many threads about this problem. Suggest you read a TON.

Very nice. Yeah I did the typical fpr checks. Don't see any signs of it being the issue but may end up replacing it just to be on the safe side.

But not the point of this forum. Feel free to message me directly if you have any ideas. All would be appreciated, just don't wanna change the forum subject.

2002 VTX1800S running "R" rims & tires (they are different sizes), E3 spark plugs, K&N filter for stock intake, stock looking exhaust (I have no idea of any mods, sounds louder than stock, I suspect they've been gutted), Avon Cobra Chrome tires running at 38 / 42 psi per manufacture recommendation, running no windshield, recently changed rear shocks to Progressive 430 (that might change fuel economy)... I'm getting 130-150mi between fillups, the light comes on around 120ish, I've pushed it to 155 and still had fuel in the bike... if I twist the throttle too hard, I get less mpg (obviously)... I'm a heavy rider, 310-315lbs...

hope that helps... keep in mind that all the variables for mpg are way too many to list here and fully compare across any bike... even the condition of the roads you ride, and asphalt vs concrete all play some part in the calc...

My results aren't much if any different than yours. I have an '03 1800 C, I run Darkside rear tire 40 psi 38 Dunny Elite 4 frt., Progressive 444's ( nothing to affect mileage, BTW), HK3" Long Straights, K/N, stock NGK, Clearview w/s replacement (just a tad wider than Hondaline), and 100 # lighter, lol, open airbox with SPYKER mod.

Ah, but shocks can affect mileage just as tire psi can... If you have a 20yr old shock that isn't actuating, causing the tire to skip across the road as conditions change, it will affect mileage... Every aspect will affect mileage, tires, valve lash, weight, barometric pressure, altitude, swingarm bearings, wheel bearings, and even potholes with eat up extra fuel... It all plays a part in the calc... There are more variables than we can fathom...

One other variable: Frequent mechanical checks before riding. If you see a problem, and correct it before it causes much harm, no foul committed. It's when turnkey riders let problems exacerbate that cause grief and headaches. And big expense.
