Hi Ya'll I had a quick question. The thieves that stole my VTX use something to pry the gas cap off of the tank and did some damage to the lip of the tank. Does anyone know of a gas cap that you can twist and seal something like that. I will post pictures of the damage when I go to my buddies house where my motorcycle is housed and maybe some other pictures of other damage that was done so if you have any other suggestions. Ya'll have been great on here and I appreciate everything.

Here is the replacement: Honda 17620-KR3-751 - CAP, FUEL FILLER | Partzilla.com
Certainly not cheap either. Check with a body shop to see if they can work it back in shape -- a new tank is really out there these days (gone up $500 in 4 years). As these bikes get older, parts are getting MUCH more expensive. In the case of accessory parts, they are very hard to find AT ALL.

I know it's crazy. The gas tank is more than the bike. Thanks for the advice.
