It's only day two and I've already had my first idiot moment. My VTX has aftermarket grips, pretty nice ones at that, that the PO installed. The throttle side was a little loose so I took it off to re-glue it. I squeezed a little too hard and got two good size dollops on one of my pipes....and they were hot so it sizzled and dried right up. Anyone know of a good way to removed the glue without frackin up the chrome?

There are two or three approaches to this, I think. Most common is using Oven Cleaner. Another is wadded aluminum foil. There are others as well that have been discussed.

Hang loose and the "experts" will be on to help you out.

yeah I think I might try the acetone or wd 40 before I go scraping, my heavy hand is what got me in this situation. I would hate to see the damage I would do pushing down on a razor too hard.
