I am looking at a Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad. Looking for a bike that is more 2 up friendly. Went and looked at an 04 Yesterday. Decided against the 04 because it is the last 1500 cc year and the price was not that great. The only thing I did like about it is the solid color which you can't get in an 05. Wife is selling her bike and will be riding exclusively w/ me now and the 1300C is just not the bike for that. Feel free to chime in with any positives or negatives.

You've got to ride what is the best bike for you. (or in this case the two of you) It really doesn't matter as long as you make the decision for yourselves. The vtx and the Nomad are great bikes. Can't go wrong with either as long as the fit the need you have. Take a look at the Yamaha Royal Star Delux Tourer too. Which ever way you go, Ride safe.

...and what's wrong with the 1800??? I got mine just 'cause I wanted plenty of power when we were riding 2-up ( which we do a lot). Won't even notice her back there until you do something squirlly and she smacks you in the back of the head. An 1800 Wing is a good choice too, if you are old (geriatric) enough....

Good luck on your choice. I agree w/ the boys. you want 2 up riding? you ain't gonna beat an 1800 vtx. For the price, that is. You probably only ride on weekends anyway. Shoulda bought a Hardly. Then you could look good too.lol. Used car Salesman HMMMM. Greg.....

Hey Rebls, It was a joke. Just yankin your chain to get some miliage for the board.I'm a maintnence mechanic at a school. You wouldn't believe how many times the smart teachers say Hey janitor come clean up my messes. LOL. That usually puts them at the bottom of my very long list of repairs. HeHe. Good luck on your choice of Bikes. I still say you can't hardly do better than Honda. Also want to say East Motor sports in Camden are top notch. Saved enough money on 2 tires and mounting to pay my gas and 2 hotel stays on my way back home. Hooha!!!!! 267.00 for 2 tires and labor. WOW. Take care. Wildman......

I thought that was in Dover. Further up 13. Used to go there w/ an old Buddy Terry Gray from Ingleside, MD. That was way back in the late 70's and early 80's.I've got another old Bud. George walls. Worked for 7 years at Davis cycles in Hartly, Del. Used to run that Neighborhood a lot. Seems to be gettin a lot more dangerous round the area anymore. Heard the Pagens were starting to influence a lot of functions. My buddy Skid is a four seasons Brother. He said the Pagens are policing the small upstart groups. Never could deal w/ that game. I'm a lone wolf. Don't tread on me. Live and let live I say. That's one of the reasons I moved back out west. Nuetral territory out here. Not too many thugs here. The laws are a lot more tailored to the individual here. I just got my concealed carry permit yesterday. No reason needed. I'm a peaceble kinda guy. Just don't threaten my family or my right to exist. I like that a lot. I had a good time back East, but the area seems like it's slowly dying. Nothing new on the shore but rich retirees or commuters to the Metro area. I guess change is inevitable. Too bad the common folks are gettin squeezed out by progress. A paradise lost. Take care Greg.......

You got that right

I'm starting not to like it around here. I live in Sussex county, below Milford which has had a tremendous growth spurt. Still not like Dover or beach area, but traffic and such is getting worse around here. Guess it's all relative though. Just got back from a trip to Conneticut (buying some cars at the auction up there) went through NY city and man what a rats maze that is. Not knockin' it just not my kind of living. If I want to have a few friends over turn up some music, shoot some skeet or ride 4 wheelers in the back yard I can do that here still, for how long I don't know. Might be running a road for beach traffic right through my property soon. Land is high right now so hope to get a premium for it, pull stakes and get the hell out.

I did it

Hated to see it go but sold the X yesterday. Had kind of been delaying this but got a beer or two in me while cutting grass. Put my bike out front, sure enough someone pulled up, started it up for him and now it's gone. Now I'm bikeless with no clue when my next bike will be in. I'm not the patient kind so now I'm on the hunt for my new scoot.

Got the new bike

Rode it home friday in some rainfall and gusty winds. Loving the windshield already. From the 100 miles I have put on it think I made the right choice. I will say I miss my X, and this bike must have some pipes put on it. Have some V&H baggers ordered.

Sorry if I missed it, in what I read you were unsure...what did you finally get? You said you ordered then you said you were on the hunt...??
