Took a little trip today, met a friend in Waynesville and then headed through Maggie Valley across Soco Gap into Cherokee and back. Wasn't to bad after my feet got completely numb. lol. Was a bit nippy. Thought about BB as I went through Maggie. All in all it was a nice ride, the X ate Soco up.

A little Cool

Still a little cool here today, I had to work on my tractor for about half the day, So I could use it the rest of the day. Sounds like you had a good trip though. Even cold, I'd rather be riding than working. GG :D

I went for a ride today in nothing but a longsleeve t-shirt.....it is 77 deg here right now.....would hate to live somewhere where I can't ride all year long. I get antsy when the cold fronts hit here and it drops into the 30's. Can't imagine where some of you guys live.......

It was 29 this morning, it was not too bad except for the fact that yesterday was so nice I wore my half helmet, this moring I had decided I will never do that again...lol. I had to stop at Albermarle Road and warm up, I had my head & face covered but the tips of my ears were getting COLD...a little rewarming huddle beside the engine and the rest was fine.

I rode down to my Fav Leather shop today. Was 36 when I left, went ahead and baught chaps while I was there. They make all the difference. Then rode downtown Norfolk to meat the wife and kids for lunch. When I left the mall it was a nice 45 or so. Not too bad at all. I could have ridden all day. Tomorrow supposed to rain so no joy for a big ride tomorrow that alot of folks were planning on.

This time of year if it is c old but not too cold and I know my return trip will be much colder I take a pullover baklava. Very thin but blocks the wind and keeps me warm. Just an oval cutout for the eyes. Only problem with it is that I feel like a bank robber or just someone up to no good in general.

Oh, did'nt get to ride, I had to go get tourtured by my accounttant. UGH!!! Painful this year.

I ran into a motor officer out here that has a heated vest and pant outfit. It is thin like a pair of long jons and plugs right into the lighter attachment. The whole thing including the thrermostat control was $185. I mention it because it was a war 32 outside and he had sweat coming off of his brow......... May be a good investment for cooler rides........
