Here's a nice story to keep the karma goin' round...
So yesterday afternoon I had to run out to get some stuff for the office/shop here at work. It was close to 1,000 degrees in the shade here in Brooklyn, NY and as I turn off the main road to enter the shopping center where the Target and Home Depot is I pass a uniformed soldier in full get-up along with a back pack walking along the road. So I pull over and offer him a ride because it's at least another 1/2 mile to even the closest store. He gladly accepts and thanks me (which is ridiculous in itself as I correct him and thank HIM instead) and he says he was on his way to Target. In the 2 minutes or so that it takes us to get to the store I find out that he's coming off active duty the end of next week and he's going to Target to apply for a job. A job? I'm looking for someone like you! So long story short(ish), we trade numbers and I tell him to come in this morning for an interview - he starts Monday!
We all talk about and sincerely try to help, support and give back to our young men and women who serve us but I find it so rare that we can so directly offer an opportunity for our boys in their day-to-day, I'm just really glad for the opportunity.

Funny you should mention it, as we were walking from the car to the store he said he just started going back to church this week and his momma told him that he'll definitely have some "help" now! Of course I answered "prayer helps"!
