Gonna take my tank off tomorrow to do the ground fix and service the cooling system. Any suggestions for other mods, repairs, upgrades or preventative maintenance to do while in there? I really don't like taking the tank off, so I want to get it all done while I'm in there. Thanks! (2006 1800S)

check all grounds.. as factory painted the threaded holes..
check all electric connectors. remove and reinsert.. a form of cleaning contact.
check all mounts of main wiring to frame.
check the engine intake clamps for looseness.
check cooling system clamps for looseness, and signs of weeping.
check all vacuum hoses for small cracks.

big check.. the hose from anti-freeze storage bottle to top of radiator.. the smallest crack with STOP the flow of coolant from tank to radiator.
with the AGE of the bike .. maybe replace it.
take old hose to any auto parts store.. its nothing special.

Good tips! I'll look close at that hose. Been getting a gurgling sound on shut down. Maybe that is why.
