While riding, if I let go of the handbars I get this insane shimming. It's so bad you almost go down. Any one have this problem or a solution?:patriot:

+1 Charlie,
Verify that psi and bring er up to 38-40 and see if that shimmy goes away. There has been a lot of speculation about those bearings.
Heres the good news, it's not always the bearings!
It may be a bad tire...dealer will usually replace..if they do replace you tire have them replace the valve stem with a steel one (you may have to pay but worth the bucks if you have it break on the road)
It may be low psi...increase pressure.

Heres the bad news, Honda has not been willing to step up to the plate on any I came across posting this type of trouble. There are some really reputable dealers out there that are willing to absorb the labor loss for good customer relations.
Bottom line, if you prove it to be the bearing just replace them and have peace of mind! With a little luck the class action suit against Honda will extend into the VTX line.

Felt the shimmer in the first 5 minutes. They are going to replace the tire under warranty. I'm glad I came to this site first.... had my ducks in a row and they couldn't tell me it was this or that.

You are welcome,
I have learned a lot from the people on this web space. They are the most informative group out there and will also point you to other locations if the info is not avail here. Good luck on that tire replacement.

PS Don't forget to replace that rubber valve stem with the metal 90 degree part, much better quality and not subject breaking.

I have also notice this shake on my bike. Just bought a couple of months ago figured it was a front tire problem. Bike has 6300 miles on the stock tires. Or could I have a bearing issue too.
