Waking up Sunday morning and having to clean this mess off the front of the bike....:)

Yesterday Jenny and I hooked up with one_fair_shot (James) and hoss37 (Dave) and did some riding in northeast Indiana area...Had a blast hanging with those guys (as always), and got to see some different scenery...Took the camera, and Jenny snapped a few pics, very few as we were just enjoying the day riding...She seemed to have totally forgotten to get a shot of Dave and his bike during the ride (sorry buddy, we'll get that next time ;))....Didn't keep track of total miles, but I'm guessing close to 300 by the time we got home last night at about 11pm central time...Good riding, good friends, good times...

James' riding buddy for the day, hanging out on the bike (literally)...

Yesterday was a beautiful day here as well. Went to visit my parents as it was their birthday (Dad is 90, Mom is 80). Was a very nice ride there and back, probably 3 hours round trip.

Glad you all had a good ride!

TODAY'S OUR DAY! Getting Momma out on the trike for her first long ride. We've got major water problems in ND right now, and they're releasing the most water ever out of the dam. Supposed to be quite the show, so five couples are running up to take a look. Should be about 350 - 400 miles. First weekend day with no rain in a long time. (and I won't even mind cleaning off the bugs!)

I've been going for short rides and mine looks like that after every ride. I clean it as soon as I get back. I pull it in the man cave turn the tx on and clean the machine. Heck I'm too tickled about riding to care about the bugs much.

Had the same problem here this morning, and what a nice problem to have. We were right around 80 yesterday and the wife and I went for a nice 300 mile putt. Got up this morning and did some bonding with the bike cleaning her up and a fresh coat of wax.

Always a sign of a good ride. Rode in to work this morning and noticed a similar look on my ride. Since the weather was calling for rain, I left the X uncovered, waited and when the rain let up, I went out and wiped her down.

Sounds like most of us are finally starting to get some good riding weather...

Just curious, what do you use to clean the bugs off that fresh paint?....

I have had a few different things suggested, but I have learned to ask around here too...

Well the paint on the fairing is what I sprayed myself last summer, so not realy that fresh at this point...

That being said, I have a spray bottle with soap and water that I use for the bike when it's really grubby (or buggy)...I then went over it with some Meguire's Ultimate compound to shine it up really good...

I was just at "kingfish" bike night a couple nights ago & this question came up.....
a lady rider told me to take a dryer sheet and wet it & it will take the bugs off easy.....not tried it yet, but will soon...........anyone else ever do this trick........

I gave her a can of my honda polish & cleaner & told her to try it & let me know next time at bike night, how she liked it too........
