Looking to put new pipes on a 06 VTX1300C. Would anybody like to share their opinion on either of the two? A sound clip of the K-2's would be nice. I really like their look. I do like the sound of the cobra's.

Also. I'm moving out to California, from NC, in a couple of weeks (Monterey...sometimes the Marine Corps can really screw you ;) ). Does anybody know of CA state laws regarding aftermarket pipes (decibels or emissions)?

Thanks...my first post and the bike is only a week old! :D This forum is a real big help...I've learned a lot from you all!

I JUST installed my K-2s yesterday. If you can wait a day or two, I'll try to get a sound clip to you so you can hear them. I was in your same situation, wanting to hear them and not finding any clips. I finally took a chance, and I like them so far. They're loud, that's for sure.

Hard Krome all the way

I spent 2 months researching pipes, asking everyone I knew that had a bike or worked on motorcycles. Everyone I spoke with preferred HK over almost anything else. Their main point was the double walled construction, but they all told me that HK has a deeper more throaty sound to them. My HK 3" Long Straights are due to arrive at my house today, so I will be able to give more of a personal impression of the sound very soon. Good luck

for the C, I recommend the speedster shorts.......goes with the theme of the muscle bike. The longs look better on a retro.......just my $.02
I compromised and went with the speedster slashdowns.

Love the pipes!! Awesome sound, and I think they compliment the C model very well! No regrets.
