Okay new bike owner and also new to this site, looking to replace the stock exhaust on my bike which is a 2007 vtx 1800 R1. Stuck making a decision between Hard krome 3inch that are used coming off a 2002 vtx 1800 (which are free on a trade for my stock), versus cobra speedsters slashdown pipes. The cobras are brand new and i like the style and look of the cobras a little better (already have these sitting in my garage waiting to be put on). I heard the HK's on my buddy's bike and i like them very loud, perhaps a bit to loud for my taste. Basically just want to know if anybody had any input on the sound of the Cobra's versus the HK's. I looked on youtube just to hard to make a decision on sound from a camera microphone. Any input is greatly apprecieated.

Anything BUT HK pipes...I had a set of Big 3's that developed a crack in the upper heat shield, cafe member Charlie D has a set of Sideburners that the heat shield ripped a section out of the pipe, and here's a good read in the following link..Mr VTX's saga with his K2's and HK's NON-customer service....

what are the cobras gonna cost you?? The HK sounds like a good deal on even trade.I have run the HK sideburners for 5 years now with NO issues..
