Advise checking the local dealership...though this may be problematic since you live in Egypt .. to see what the price of a replacement is before ordering online. If they can give you a new one, then you have someone to strangle if it doesn't work. If the price is too high, then you can research if the following used ECU from a 2004 is compatible*:

http://www.sepowersports.net/servlet/the-4566/HONDA-VTX1800-VTX-1800/Detail

*Caution: Looked the 2004 PGM-FI up on the parts finder website below and it's $100 more with a different part number. Also can't vouch for above website since I've never used it.

On cheapcycleparts.com, an replacement OEM ECU costs over $500...2 are listed. I assume one of them is for California. Check out part number 025 on the following diagram from their website:

http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/mode...6-vtx-vtx1800c3/assemblies/15834-wire-harness

Also recommend calling if you can via skype to see if they are willing to ship to Egypt and what shipping costs would be.

Hope this helps.

PS- There are no listings on ebay for an ECU from an 1800vtx at this time.

I don't have a problem about shipping I will send it to someone in the us and he will get it to me but am afraid to find it not matching with my bike.
I found a cheaper new ECU PGM-1 specifically for your the year, make and model of your VTX from RonAyers.com

The following CPU PGM-1 is for the Honda VTX 2006 C3 for $479.73 plus shipping: SKU: 535437 Mfg. Part Number: 38770-MCH-A41

Here's the link to the website schematic: http://www.ronayers.com/ProductDetails/N/687/SKU/535437 There are several #25 PGM-1 CPU's listed so call them at 1-800-888-3834 or email them at [email protected] to absolutely ensure the part number listed above fits your bike. Here's the specific part address: http://www.ronayers.com/ProductDetails/N/687/SKU/535437

As implied in my previous post, the used 2004 CPU listed in my previous post will NOT fit your bike. So you should order your replacement from RonAyers or search for a used CPU online. I could not find a used one for you.

I've never used RonAyers.com but there are many members of this forum who give that parts supplier stellar reviews. If you call them, you will get the correct CPU PGM-1 for your bike.

Just so it's perfectly clear:

This exactly my ECU part no.38770-MCH-A11
i found it on cheapcyclepart but it's too expensive.
Where else I can find it.
Don't know if this might help as well, but I sometimes send ecu's off to have them rebuilt/fixed. If you know of anyone that's good with ecu/pcm boards, they can usually do it. One place I use here is an auto parts store. They send it off to have it repaired. I even had one repaired by a guy that fixes wii/playstation/x box of all things. He wanted to take a crack at it and fixed it. $50 was cheaper than $500 and the customer really had nothing to lose
I am curious why you think you need a new ECU. I'm sure parts fail...but this one not very often...I don't even remember someone expressing such failure.

SKU: 535436
Mfg. Part Number: 38770-MCH-A11 Listed on the Ron Ayers cite for $479.73 http://www.ronayers.com/ProductDetails/N/687/SKU/535436 That's the cheapest price that I was able to find for that part number. From what you said, I'm assuming you can't afford any ecu in price range.

There's a website that searches for specific used motorcycle parts. You may wish to give them a try: http://www.mrcycleparts.com/parts/honda/vtx1800c/electronic-control-unit.html

Additionally, you may wish to research it and see if you can use that used CPU from the 2004 VTX listed in my first post. It's a different part number but it's from a fuel injected 1800 VTX.

Finally, here's a place in the UK that helps with repairing motorcycle CPU's: http://www.ecu-master.co.uk/

Other members may have additional info on compatibility, or know someone parting out a bike.

Good luck!
really thank you so much guys..
darwin thank you so much for ur support but the 2004 dont match with my bike.
i think i will buy it from http://www.ronayers.com this is the ceapest place i found also.
