Please Help - Ok, I have a 05' 1300C with a kuryakyn pro hypercharger and free flowing pipes. I jetted my carb with a dyno jet kit-195 main jet, needle with shim on third indent, and af screw 2 1/2 turns out.
I took the bike for a spin and runs great in all gears for first 1/4 of throttle. Anything past first 1/4 of throttle twist, bike stutters, burps, and wont accelerate. If I ride with choke 1/2 way out, it doesn't stutter or burp, but wont accelerate. I took carb back off and made sure main jet was clear and not clogged, all hoses are back on, all seals and o-rings in place. Does anyone have any advice as to whats causing this? I dont want to bring it to the stealer! :banghead:

Talk to Charlie D (you can do a search of his name and jetting) but it sounds like you have installed a smaller jet then the stock Honda jet. Make sure you don't have a air leak in the Hyper or exhaust system.

+1.....more posts on here of guys with problems AFTER rejetting, but Ive never read one where a guy had issues after just doing the scar mod.
Ive got an 07C with Bubs and a hypercharger too....
2.75 turns a/f and 2 shims....this thing runs like a bat outta hell.
go scar mod and throw the jet kit in the trash.

+1 on throwing that jet kit in the trash...You've installed smaller than stock jets in your carb now with that P.O.S. kit....Put the stock stuff back in there and follow Scar's carb tuning sticky post on the 1300 board....

Your setup is close to mine. Put a bigger jet in it then put the C clip one groove closer to the needle end and test the results. Your bike is not getting enough gas after it is coming out of the idle circuit. I had to move my C clip two groves toward the needle end to get it right. FYI, when you move the C clip down, you might have to file the top of the needle to get the plastic cap to go down far enough to secure it.

Well guys, thanks for the advise... the Scar method worked great.

Time spend tuning carb: 21 days
$ spend on Dynojet kit : $70
Results : SHITTY
$2.09 pack of radio shack washers and SCAR method : AWESOME

Lesson Learned... That company should be in jail...

Hey there, I am having the same problem. Now as far as moving clip down or filing, should that be best done at dealer? I do have someone working on it and he said that the slow jet needed to be jetted. I do want to relay this msg to him so he can get me up and running so i dont have to take it to the "stealer" as squanto put it lol

Its a new bike only 770 miles on it...of course I didnt winterize it. So the slow jet clogged and I replaced it a few months ago. then when i went tofor a ride i had to ride with choke partially out then it shut off on me and wont run with choke off. and yes the gas was not flowing thru...help me help me please!

Call me silly but I think the answer to your dilemma is in post #1 thru #8.
Its just a wild guess though.

Thanks Charlie D!!

Sorry Mathwiz but I was just lookin for clarifaction.
It's cool MM. I just put Cobra Speedster Longs on my bike and have my pair valve block off plates sitting on the workbench. When my Glens VTX Garage brand permanent A/F screw gets here in a few days, I will have everything done to get ready to open the air box and do the Scar mod. Such as what you have done.

In other words, I'm just itchin for some VTX action.

I would replace or clean your plugs up if you were ridding with the choke out. That will toast your plugs quick!
