call the city the pothole was in and call your insurance. take pictures of the pothole. there is no way a pothole should be able to do that much damage without the city being responsible.

I feel for ya !!!
seems like around here in N Calif we just got rated like 45 outta 50 for craapy road surfaces,w/like 50 million tourist tearing up our roads extra its no wonder a lot of roads suck in tourist type areas out here,not sure how New Orleans is in general? know u get lots of tourists too..
n check on the county/city reimbursement progam that could help !
