I rode in this the every year and it is a blast. They average 200 bikes. In the past, it has been an 85 mile ride through northern IL and southern WI. Pit stop about 1/2 way through. Ride ends at Sideouts in Island Lake. Includes lunch, live band and a raffle (nice prizes too). Also a scavenger hunt which is much easier if you have a passenger to write down the answers to the questions. It is an all day event.
They usually break the bikes into 2 groups. It is escorted but not police escort so you do have to follow the rules of the road. There are blockers at intersections (legality is questionable, but it works).
Would be nice to get a nice X contingent riding in the event. Let's see how many X riders commit. Depending on the size, I have a few ideas.
