I've seen a video of a guy doing the holesaw mod to an '08. But my pipes don't look like his.
I don't want the Clayton mod because I know it won't be enough for my taste (did it on a V*)
Can I do the holesaw mod on my '05 ?
It's raining, the kids are in skool.....I need to know whether or not to make a trip to Lowes ?

Contact Jstar and ask him how he did the mod on my pipes. They sound close to the VTX Exhaust that people pay many $$$'s for.

I just found bassdude's video/thread on kiwi mod. I think that's close to what I want. I was just trying NOT to have to remove the mufflers. Call me lazy !

I did the hole saw to my pipes. There is the outside to drill out and two more plates on the inside so you will need a extention. I have had many VTX ride tell me it sounds better than there pipes. And my friends ride Harleys say it sounds good.

You can only do a Hole Saw Mod on the 08 and 09 VTX's. You have to do the Clayton or other mod to the older stock exhausts.

That's the conclusion I'd come up with after searching multiple media's. Thanks for the info.

Go with the way Bassdude did his, that's basically the KIWI mod and the same thing I did to Wanderingbear's pipes.
