My new to me fleabay bought saddle bags (with mounts) arrived today and I'm curious as to whether they are 18L or 24L. These are the bags that you'd see in any Honda parts book that shows the bolt on leather bags for the VTX series of bikes. Could I talk a few folks into taking some basic overall dimension measurements of their Honda leather bags so I can determine which I have? A link to the auction I won:

Thanks for the reply but are your measurements taken from a 18L or 24L bag?. I also own a KLR650 thumper so I'm aware that Loctite is a mans best friend

far as I can see from your pics the mounts are whoafully short hardware.

I measured the Hondaline most expensive version of saddlebags, I hope they're 24L.

Even tho the auction stated that these were for a 1800...the mounts bolt right up to my 1300R. Thanks again,
