The basic riders course is a requirement to ride on a military base. Although not strictly enforced, the course or more training is supposed to occur annually. I had to take the experienced riders course to renew my decals after I renewed my I.D. card (and I'm a civilian). The E.R.C. did nothing for reducing my insurance but they said if I can take the instructor course, I would get an additional discount.

On Florida you have to take the basic course in order to get your endorsement. No if and or butts.

Same here Buya!! You can't even get insurance without the endorsement from the school...

Written test to get a 6 month permit and a riding test to get an endorsement. Take and pass the MSF and they will waive the riding test for your endorsement.

That must be a requirement for new riders. I never had the endorsement but then I came here from California and took the drivers license test with a helmet in my hands. Guess they figure if I made it that far I was good to go for here.
