There are many differences. These include the following easy to recognize differences: spark plug covers, one vs. two hoses going to front brake caliper, and clutch master cylinder on handlebar.

All 1800 have inverted forks. The down tubes are on the bottom and sliders are fixed in the triple tree's.
1300s have regular forks with the down tubes up top in the triple tree and sliders holding the wheel axel.

Look for the bigger smile on the rider's face with an 1800.

Hard to tell, when the 1800 is so far out in front. Then again, that is another way to tell what it is, LOL.

Different right side crankcase covers. 1300 flatter, more rounded. 1800 looks more like it was formed from a small flat tapered side bowl.

the 1800 have two brake rotors on the front wheel. It takes a little more to stop the extra weight of the 1800 once it gets going,
Yes, the multi=piston calipers are bigger too.
