In my opinion, it should be ok, just add some Seafoam to it, run it out and fill up with fresh. How full do you have it?So I've had my bike apart for 2.5 months now. Haven't turned the bike on once since then. Do I need to replace the gas in the tank? If so do I need to add anything to it before adding new gas?
Thx guys.
It's about half to three quarters full.In my opinion, it should be ok, just add some Seafoam to it, run it out and fill up with fresh. How full do you have it?
Thx for the info.this new ethanol gas gels up and crusts faster. I would at leat drain it and then add premium gas and sea foam for initial ride. :choppersm
i was taught 30 days for 2-stroke and 90 for 4-stroke. But that's with real gas.
So just dump the old gas, refill it and add seafoam? Don't need to do anything with carb myself? The sea foam will do it on it's own?Regular gas is all it takes add a little seafoam to get the initial crud out of the carb from sitting.
More :icon_bs:...I have left 10% blend gas in a lawnmower all winter long, and it fires right up every spring....Diesel will gel up in extreme cold temps, but I have yet to see gasoline do that.....this new ethanol gas gels up....
The seafoam should clean the carb since it hasn't been an overly long time but if it doesn't it isn't that hard to pull the jets and clean them. It's about half to three quarters full.
Thx for the info.
