Really just a quick question. Been wanting a set of engine guards for a while now. I know all recommendations point toward the Cobra Fatties. Nice bars, just don't care for the "elephant ear" look, Like the look of the Kurys, just leary of the design. My question is, does anybody have or know anyone who has experience with the Baron Engine Guard?

Looks like exactly the balance between Kurys and Cobras that I find ideal.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

I went down with a set of Kuryakyn ergo bars on my 1300, and they saved both me and my bike a lot of damage. Not only would I get them again, that's what I did.

That's the thing, the Paladins for the c look fine, but the ones for the r/s/n...elephant ears. That's why I was looking at the Barons. Same type of design as say the Paladins or Fatties, but they only go halfway up the radiator, or so it seems from pics.

I bought the kuryakyn bars and installed them on my bike. I haven't been able to test them out because the bike is torn down. I get back from NC tuesday night and wish to start putting the bike back together.

So far the bars look as if the stick out some distance, they also are alittle lower than the floorboards. I never really scrape the floorboards but time to time I tend to dip lower especially on a good u turn. Don't want to scratch them incase I want to sell. View attachment 24686

Looks worse without the tins.
