I have a 2002 vtx 1800. I was riding home and the bike completely died and wouldn't crank back on afterwards. It has a brand new battery. I can't hear the fuel pump prime and I have no idea what to do.

If I were in your shoes, I would run through the electricals...
I'd start with easy stuff like tightening the battery contacts with a wrench, cleaning the kill switch contacts, starter button, and the safety switches (clutch, kickstand).
If that doesn't get ya anywhere, inspect the wires entering the CPU under the seat. They are bent tightly and some are prone to breaking. If they look good, then I'd move on to freshening up the ground fix contacts.
Best of luck.

BEFORE....you do any of what Nate suggested....Fully charge that battery, THEN take it to Napa or a parts store that will do a 100 amp automotive, not motorcycle, LOAD test! Yours would not be the first new battery, by a long shot, to be a P.O.S.! Especially if it is NOT a Yuasa! Yeah you might pay more for the Yuasa, but it has been proven time and again with Honda, some things you are better off with OEM parts. You could have a weak cell or three, show 12v, and it won't make the 1800 electrics work. Also check all fuses. I recommend replacing ALL of them with the EZ-ID kind that light up when they pop. Makes trouble-shooting soooo much easier! Not much more $ than standard fuses. A nice box of various sizes can be bought for ~ $30. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30amp.
