RIP Torn is keeping his freedom.

The Men In Black star, 79, has escaped jail for his drunken bank break-in in January after pleading guilty to a list of charges.

The actor was found sprawled on the floor of the Litchfield Bancorp building in his hometown of Salisbury, Connecticut clutching a revolver. He was reportedly intoxicated and told cops he thought the building was his home.

David Shepack, a Connecticut prosecutor, told the Associated Press that Torn pleaded guilty Tuesday to reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and illegally carrying of a firearm and received a two-and-a-half-year suspended sentence and three years’ probation; he will have to submit to random drug and alcohol tests as part of the probation.

Torn’s lawyer said the actor was thankful that no one had been injured and that he had not been sent to jail.

I'm wondering what sentences any of us regular people would have gotten.

I'm betting I'd be looking through bars for a while.
