Be sure and try them on before you glue. Just go by the directions that came with them. It was the first thing that I did to my bike back in June. After I did that now other things are fairly easy to do myself.

The grip glue that Kuryakyn sends with the grips is nothing more than impact resitant super glue. It cost about $0.75 for each bottle. If you do not put your grips on fast enough you will have problems.

Honda also has a grip glue that works well. Their glue takes a while to cure but if you put the grips on at night they are ready to go by moring. At least that route allows you to adjust the grips as you are installing them. Their glue also works if you go with a heated grip.

The gas side grip cap unscrews do not pry it. You may break you sleve at the end of the grip. The left side can be pryed off. GG :D

You know, I really do suck at this keyboard stuff. It's really bad when I first wake up. Guess I'll get a translator. Hope you guys can break the code. GG :D

yea I did the same thing with the throttle sleeve. I did try and find it in the owners manual and the repair manual and could not find it. So I started with the left side and pried and cut. Then did the same thing and snaped the threaded part off the end of the throttle sleeve. After looking at the stock hand grip I doubt that it would of come unscrewed as it was full of glue. Put the Kury grips on and have had no problems. That and the throttle boss work great.

This is kind of a side question. Got my wife ISO's and the Kewlmetel helmet lock for her B-Day. Instructions say to screw on the lock using the 4 screws from the end cap. Here is the stupid question, when you put in the screw at the bottom of the opening where the D-ring goes in, not only does it block the D-ring from going in but it also blocks the extension piece from being inserted. What am I missing here. Works great if I only use 3 screws. Sorry, but I'm confused.

Did you remove the stock end cap. Or try to put the lock over it??? The screws should not be a problem. Since there are flush with the hole in the cap. GG :D
