Light bar

I want to buy a light bar for my 2005 1300s.
I have read many reviews on different brands and can't seem to find one that everyone likes.
$300 to $400 and they all have good and bad reviews......:banghead:
I don't mind spending the $, just need help on the type of light bar that won't be a dissapointment.

In the 6 years I've owned the bike, I can't get over the fact of the bike kind of looking like its 'sagging' or 'drooping' in front with that stock headlight. From the side it looks sharp when the handlebars are pointing straight ahead, but when the handlebars are turned to the side, it has that look.

I'm looking at possibly replacing the headlight with a standard looking headlight that is flat in frontlike you would see on a Shadow, ect....

I've got bags on the back, and I want to 'fatten' up the front with some fatty crash bars, and possibly a light bar. If I put the light bar on, I'll probably put on a different headlight too.

Hmmm...Shape of the gas tank, and headlight was two of the things I liked the most about the VTX...Gives it a unique look in my opinion...

And I have ZERO complaints on my Hondaline lightbar...Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one just like it...

I run a stock bulb in the headlight. Thought about a few others on the market, but I don't want to blind oncoming traffic with those goofy blue or overly bright bulbs. I want them to see me, but blinding them isn't good for either party. I added the Honda Line light bar with stock bulbs and it sure makes a world of difference. I did have a problem with the supplied ground wires being to short, so I had to make my own. Overall I would say the Honda Line looks the best with the R/S/T models and since it's made for the bike, install normally doesn't take any fabrication. It not only lights up the road at night, but also makes you easier to see in the day. I paid $350 for mine, but thats a lot cheaper than a trip to the ER, or worse. Sorry I don't have a suggestion for a flat faced headlight. I never looked for one. To me the brow on the stock light has the retro look and goes well with the R/S/T models. Adding brows for the light bar enhances it even more. It's all in what your looking for, let us know if you find a headlight that fits the style your aiming for.

I don't know if this will help but I'm going to help a brother out.
Here on the Cafe. http://www.wildbikers.com/en/wild-biker-store/product/view/42/85

Thanks Brother :D

But if you are looking to go with a custom Headlight you will need an adapter. I have a Demon Cycles Headlight on mine (look at pic in the link below) and there are other options out there. Once you get the adapter - The door is open wide for Options in the HD world. I like my Demon but I do plan on changing it (AGAIN) to a black and Chrome Custom light that I can add HID too!

Bassdude, you runnin stock bulbs in the lightbar? Want to brighten mine up a bit without melting the wires or frying the switch.
I'm running 35 watt bulbs in my Honda line light bar. I don't think you can go any larger than that without needing to swap out some power wires.

35 watt is the max you want to go with the Hondaline bar...Heard of guys getting the 55 watt ones from Autozone and melting wiring...I have 35's in mine, got 'em at NAPA...Had to ask the guy at the counter for them though, they don't have them out on the shelves in the store...

+1000. I can't recall where I got mine. Think I ordered them online. The instructions that came with my Honda light bar actually stated a 35 watt could be substituted. They are a bit hard to find since most autos use a 55 or larger in the driving lights.
