Installed a Cobra lightbar on my '06 VTX1300R this weekend. I have a Memphis Fats windshield. Memphis Shades said Cobra's lightbar would fit. It does not! Memphis Shades web page says lightbar relocation kit is required - so I ordered the kit. Now Cobra told me it may not fit still and then I'll have to make a bracket *&%[email protected]!! I'm waiting for the bracket before making my next move. Then, if it doesn't work I'm gonna drive off the bridge:confused:

I'm having the same issues.... I'm not quite savvy enough to do it myself and I've had the local Honda dealer helping me out. We have not found an answer as of yet. Please let me know if you find a resolution! I really love the look of the Cobra Lightbar and I'd really like to get a windscreen.

Thanks!

I had the cobra lightbar installed on my 1300c by the stealer a few months ago. They told me off the bat when I ordered it that I'd need the lightbar relocation kit. They installed and works fine with my memphis slim 17". Looking at how it's installed, I can't see a fats having clearance problems behind the way the lightbar is installed on mine now.

Good Luck

Glen,
Thanks for taking care of the order for me - you're awesome! I have a 9" headlight. Thanks for the tip. Will I have to extend the wires or add a sleeve to any wires not protected by the o.e. jacket?
A few guys made a sleeve or some sort of cover. Most like myself just covered it with black tape.

Headlight/Lightbar Extender

The 4" extender from glensvtxgarage.com did the trick. I mounted the extender on top of the lower triple tree. Next, I mounted the headlight bracket under the extender (required to give windshield clearance for headlight) followed by the smaller of the spacers provided by Cobra's lightbar. Next went the lightbar. I used a piece of zipper-tubing to wrap the wire bundle for a cleaner look. Overall, it looks cool. Best of all is that I get my windshield back...Thank you Brother Glen!
