i cant find the thread, so i'm asking. there was a thread about doing the seat mod for the 1300 c, without having to drill out the hole, in case i ever want to put the bolts back in the future.
i'm looking for the size of the pull ring pin that will fit the hole, without any drilling. thanks to all atriot:

Don't know. You could get some allen wrenches and see which fit. since they are sized flat-flat you will need to measure point-point but it will get you close.

I think they were 1/4s and the drilled ones were 3/8s

okay guys. thanks for the help. it just came to me not to sweat it too much. i'll remove the seat bolt right there at homedepot, buy a size 5/16 or 1/4 and work my way from there. :hmm2: :idea:

thanks again, for the measurements, when looking at the 1/4 and 5/16 that's when it hit me. go figure. sometimes 8 heads think better than one. that's why i like this place... :icon_danc :mosh:

okay brothers. haven't wanted to order the rings from Mcmaster carr since the shipping is more than bolts or just as much. i found a pair of 1/4" but they are not thick enough. they slide out, so it's the 5/16" that will fit.

i'll have to wait to be ordering something else, or just drill out the 3/8 which i have the rings for. the length has to be at least 1" or .08 useful length. the 1/4 " one that i tried was 1 1/8" long and would have worked, and still had some room to go in deeper, so you'd be more concerned with minimum length than maximum. of course, this is on my 13 c, not sure on other models. so this is over:icon_blah!!!
