First, a disclaimer:
I have no hand's on knowledge of this, and not confirm or deny the accuracy of this information.
I'd feel better if I saw it myself, but,,,
According to a member of another board, he was present when a dealers rep came by with some additional photo's of the new Fury. The photo's were not given out, but he, and other's were allowed to view them.
There was no 'earth shaking / industry changing' radical new design or criteria shown in the photo's.
Here are the highlights:
I saw pics of the Fury at my local Honda dealership last week.
Happen to be in there when he came in. He showed them to everyone in there at that time. I won't go into specs because Hal has correctly listed them in above posts.
I do know it is not hybid, it is shaft drive, radiator is recessed in frame in front, abs option, Colors: Black, Blue, Red, Silver, Matte Black w/black wheels, single shock under seat. And a list of Honda accessories to be bought through dealership.
Dealers can not order until January.
Speculating cost to be somewhere from 12 to 14 thousand. But that was just speculation. could be less.
It is suppose to be debuted at the New York bike show and it will be at the Indianapolis Dealer show in Febuary.
The Rep was very protective of his photos. Each one had a number in it that represented that rep,, said if pics got out before the debut he could lose his job.
For those of you who are happy with what you are currently riding, (as am I), and are not impressed with the Fury, there is no need to go into that debate here again.:nope: That is not why I posted this.
I have followed the Fury thing as I am always 'interested' in something 'new', even if it isn't what I'm looking for,,,,,
I AM kinda curious to see if/how the monoshock system could possibly be integrated into other street models in the future.
I find it strange that HD has choosen to use dual swing arm mounted shocks on their 09 dressers 'as a new design' iso the 'soft tail' swing arm system they previously used,,,, and that Honda has (possibly) dropped the dual shocks for a monoshock,,,,,:hmm2:
