Looks good. If you haven't already, I suggest getting a 3M protector on the tank under where the bib is. If not, you will end up seeing a difference in paint from the bib rubbing (with dirt). The previous owner of my 1300r obviously had a bib on it at some point, I can see the damage.

To be honest, only someone looking for it would notice it, but the day I saw it, I can't unsee it and notice it almost every time I walk up to the bike.

For JPT, what/where would one look for a 3M protector? Thanks.
You can go to any tinting shop, or shop that does car wraps. They would be able to do it. Just bring the bib with you so they know the shape it needs to be.

I had my batwing wrapped (to get the 2 toned color I wanted) then I had that shop put a 3M clear "bra" on over the wrap to protect it. The 3M clear is THICK, and typically is designed for people to apply to new cars on the high stone chip areas.

My batwing with wrap and 3M Clear over it:

It sure does look good. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Now I was thinking of putting some type of soft cloth glued on the back of the Bib I want I figure a fabric store should have something.
It really doesn’t matter what you put on the bib, the problem is dirt gets trapped under the bib and it rubs the paint. Even if there is no dirt, the constant rubbing as you are riding will eat away at the clear coat/paint, making it ever so different than the the rest of the tank.

Honestly the only people who would notice it on my tank are people I point it out to. But once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

If I was going to install a bib I would use that 3M clear bra on the tank under the bib to protect the tank’s paint. It’s a lot cheaper than repainting the tank if God forbid it does damage.
