Congrats man!!!! I am sure you will get alot of enjoyment out of it. Hey guys any suggestions on getting those stickers off safely. I too need to remove the ones on my tank but have been hesitant because I do not want to scratch the tank all up.

I used my thumbnail to lift a corner of the tank sticker and then peeled it back SLOWLY. You may also be able to get away using a clean, thin plastic spatula (like the ones used to putty drywall) to lift a corner. Or, you may be able to use dental floss or fishing line to get underneath the decal while someone else is lifting it. I like the fingernail approach because you don't risk scratching the clearcoat as easily. Whatever tactic you choose, default applying pressure toward the decal instead of the tank.

I used some Isopropyl alcohol to remove the remaining residue left by the adhesive. I've also heard of some using goo gone or similar product. Then it's ready for a good few coats of wax.
