I started wiring my new Radiantz LED tail light/turn signals tonight. When I took this apart I unplugged things "thinking" the wires would match up. Well, tonight I go to plug stuff back in and only one wire matches! errrggghhhhh....

Anyway, I have a green with a yellow stripe and that has a match, other than that nothing else matches. Anyone know what wire goes where? I have tried every possible combination and I can get one working but not the other.

Here is a photo of what I'm looking at on my 1800, that one wire that is orange one one side has no match on the other, it's an olive color:

I'm sorry to hear about your problem but ... didn't the thing come with directions? I would say a good place to start if this forum can't help you is go on the Radiantz's web page and ask them for help. They must either have the directions on line, a phone number to call or a link so you can ask them for assistance. Now a days EVERYONE has a web page! :) I'm sure they can fix you right up!

Good luck!

big x your only showing 3 male connectors and 6 female ...is there another 3 wire bundle? anyway on my 1300;
green/yellow= brake
brown= running
blue=r turn
org= l turn
solid green=ground (3 of them)
first thing I'd do is id the wires going to the lights using some jumper wires and the battery... connect green to bat ground then using a jumper connect to the g/y and see if the brake light comes on. do this until you have id'd the wires to the lights. then using a meter ...connect the meter ground to female green and then step on the brake and check each wire for volage in turn. write it down as you go. once you id the brake light then, turn on a turn signal and find the wire with the fluctuating voltage, continue in this manner til u have id'd the wires then plug em up. Call me if I can help with an immedite ?

I think I have it figured out...lol.

I had aftermarket lights before and didn't remember what when where...I had plugged in the turn signal wires in on the staggered plugs on the main wire, I need to run the wires all the way to the blue/orange plugs. Some of the plugs I will not be using since I have installed the LED.

I should know tomorrow.

This forum is the best! I've accomplished many upgrades on my 2007 VTX-1300c since joining. No matter what the project was, there was always a post on that subject that got me through it without any hic-ups. Again, thanks to you all!

I too do not recall having heard those exact words but I have heard many times that someone has tried to examine the electrical diagram and not been able to understand it or glean the necessary info from it. Those of us who have certain skills often find it hard to fathom how someone could not understand something we so easily comprehend. Remember almost everything in life is learned behavior. Even knowing which way to turn a screw/nut to loosen it is not intuitive. It must be learned.
