New battery, 2 fuses keep blowing

2007 Honda VTX 1300; I had been having trouble getting my bike running right and was having to restart it many times and the battery completely died. I got a new battery, but 2 fuses were burned out for all the lights, except the high beam indicator. It started right up though. I was able to determine that the horn and front turn signals are okay. After burning out several fuses through the process of elimination, I learned that using either of the rear turn signals burns out one of the fuses. The other fuse blows as soon as I turn the key. It would seem to me that there must be a common component to some of the different lights that shorted out, but I’m not very savvy with this electrical stuff. Any ideas?

Thanks, Mark

Well, according to the wiring diagram the "A" fuse should control the headlight both high and low beams, the "B" fuse should control the meter and tail lights and the "D" fuse the Turn, Horn, stop functions! So what you found doesn't make much sense, having said this I am not saying that this is not possible, but if you would like to pursue this farther feel free to PM (personal message) me and we can work through this.

Jim, thanks for your response. I don’t know a whole lot about it, but it doesn’t make sense to me either. The first fuse from right to left (A?) is labeled “headlight”. This fuse isn’t blown, but the headlight doesn’t come on either. The next 2 fuses (B & C?) from right to left are the ones blowing. I may not have time to work on it for a week or so but I’ll message you if I still haven’t gotten it fixed.
