I have really enjoyed my VTX, but I guess I'm getting old.

I traded my 1300C for this, a 2012 Candy Red Goldwing.

It is a bit different than the X, it's more like a crotch rocket on steroids with a Lazy Boy strapped to it. :D

I stripped some of the goodies off the old VTX and they are up for sale on Ebay.

Wes, do you believe that you will like the Goldwing as much as you did the 1300? Wishing you well>

i ride with a couple of gw once in awhile, the thing that i find hard, is the neutral position. the rear look of the new ones look like victories. i wouldn't mind having one though. good luck with it and enjoy it! :choppersm
they are very manageable and comfortable though...:coffee:

Thanks,
Back in '97 I thought the rear of the new Corvettes looked like a fat girl on a bicycle seat, but i got used to that too. LOL

It is real comfortable to ride. I haven't pushed the new tires yet, but I can already tell it will be easier to hustle through the twisties than the X was. :D

Sweet. I've never ridden the 1800s, but my 88 GL1500 is still going strong after all of these years. I'll be sad when it finally goes, which should be a long time from now. I was reading a recent thread on the wings. A member was saying how much better the wing takes the twisties than the X. I have to agree. As much as I like the 1300, the wing has much better handling, surprisingly so for its size. The 2012 wing was supposed to combine the smoothness and features of the 1800s with the nimbleness of GL1200. Let us know how it rides. Congrats and enjoy.
