Hello Everyone!
I am the proud owner of a new Honda VTX1300S. I got it last Friday and have logged about 300 miles already. This is the first bike that I've had in 20 years.
Leaving the dealership was a bit shaky but after about ten minutes of crusing it started coming back to me. For the life of me I don't know why it took me so long to get back in the saddle. All I can say is I look for any excuse to ride. I forgot how it felt to be on the open road all by your self just crusing.

I did the same thing last year, had not had a bike in 15 years, starting riding my sister's H-D Sportster in the summer, and by October was the proud owner of Titanium 1300c. I too wondered why it took so long! But better late than never. Take it slow and it it will all come back. By the way great site here, knowledgeable people and very civil!

Starman, I am with you in the new bike. Last week i bought a 06 vtx 1300s candy blk. cherry. Two days later my best bud bought the same but an R in silver. Now we are teaming and shopping for accessories. Found a oem back rest on ebay at a sweet deal. Looking at an ultimate seat vs. the mustang. And debating between the switchblade or the memphis fats shield. Want to get a little wind of the bod, but like the switchlade so i can pull it off while tooling around town. I am really not impressed with the hardward of the switchblade.
Anyone know where i can find detail pics of the memphis and hardware, their website doesn't show much.

Memphis Shade

I had a Memphis Shade in solar tint installed when I bought my bike.I am very happy with it so far. After I bought my bike a friend at work also purchased a vtx1300r after seeing my bike.
Sorry it took so long to answer I took a working vacation to fix my house that was damaged in hurricane Katrina. I hope this helps.
