My wife took a look at weather.com and said have fun, my riding buddy vaporized (didn't meet, didn't call, didn't answer phone), so I made a 40 mile (ICE COLD) loop through Morrison, Idledale, Kittredge, Parmalee Gulch, and back through Morrison. Quiet, beautiful snow covered everything except the roads. The roads were clear of ice, only a little sand, not much traffic. Was fun.
I planned to go on a local Polarbear ride but NWS had a wind advisory out in my area for 50+mph gusts.Didn't want to get blown into the ditch so I didn't ride.

Did a local Polar Bear ride about a 35 mile ride we had 1 Harley lowside at like 35 mph then 2 more HD's decieded it was too cold for them and just stopped.
Got to meet ckroll at Stables Bar and Grill. Saw a very nice Valk and a nice custom painted teal blue and white VTX.
I'm the wimp today. We have 27 mph winds and lake effect snow. I'm just finishing up making venison sausage and having a cold one, Hats off to those who are riding!
saddled up this morning, rode 15 miles to famous "Jimmy's Diner" for a great breakfast, then rode out to local biker's bar and gathering place, Maples. Short ride, 50 miles. There were about 100 bikes there when i pulled in. Mostly awesome weather, 50 degrees, light wind. Only needed my leather jacket and light gloves. So far this early winter on Long Island has been OUTSTANDING! Happy New YEAR"S to ALL  Bry
rode 100 miles yesterday for lunch with some scrc club members...then a short ride with a few scrc club members out for breakfast this morning......very windy here today..........
Wanted to, but temps dropped and there's a wind advisory here as well. I'm just not setup for cold weather riding.
Yesterday was the first time I was able to ride that late into December and I can only remember one time where I was able to ride in January and that was a few years ago where there was a freak day where the temp reached 60 degrees. I'm sure the windshield on the VTX helps. My last bike, a VLX, had no windshield so it just wasn't any fun once the temps dropped.
Put 60 miles on today , bike now have 2,000 miles on just got it Oct. 24 with 1600 miles on . The forecast here don't look good for riding next week. Found out that I need a seat upgrade before spring . Have a 1300 C and want to keep the same look , thinking about Mean City Cycles or Mustang Sport Touring .:nope:
110 miles today. Left Grandview MO, rode to Hard Core Customs then up to Worth Harley by the airport. Headed East to Stables in Kearney and met Abgms and checked out his cool 1800 and self-fabbed bags (nice progress). Met a friend that I sold my old V-Star to and chatted with her for a bit, then blasted home in the wind. Saw another black 1300R but didn't have any cards to pass out. Jeff, I told the guy with the green/white 1800 about the forum, so we may see him on here soon.
I cheated a little bit. Does a New Year's Eve ride count? Had too many "honey dos" to get out today, but yesterday, that was a different story... About 7 of us from this corner of Arkansas rode the "Pig Trail". Got in about 150 miles or so. The links below include a description of the Pig Trail and a video.
