:spank: Nope. Has to do with respecting the rights of others around you. When I'm sitting out on my front porch swing with my 2 year old daughter napping in my lap, I don't need to have some idiot come down the street on a V-twin with 6 inch pipes coming straight out of his manifold. Bikers started as 'outlaws', rebels living outside the norms and laws of society. If you live outside the law, you gotta be ready to pay the price. I ride a bike, have for years, and people consider me a rebel cause I don't always live by their norms, but when I break the law, I'm not surprised when I have to pay the price. In any group, there are good and bad, and the bad make the whole group look bad. My oldest daughter doesn't like bikers and it's probably because of the image a few portray. There are laws regarding how much noise you are allowed to make in any situation. I can't have a rock concert in my back yard and I can't run a 5 litre mustang down my street with cut-out pipes. Most laws are just common sense and are made to protect property and other people's rights. I have the right not to have you invade my space, either physically, or with your noise. Whenever I hear a guy riding down the street with straight pipes, I think- 'look at me, look at me, yeah I'm bad' I'm thinking his mommy didn't hug him enough or his daddy didn't play ball with him, or maybe he has some other shortcommings he's trying to make up for. Just my 2 cents.:stirpot:
